Function

As Metal Management Assistant, you will be responsible for the administrative and coordinating aspects of purchasing, selling and planning aluminium for our production site in Duffel. You will support the commercial and operational teams and ensure accurate processing, follow-up and reporting within the metal management processes.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing, managing and monitoring supplier and customer contracts
  • Registering contracts and processing purchase and sales orders in SAP
  • Scheduling deliveries and pick-ups, and monitoring deliveries and stock levels (internal and external stock)
  • Handling invoicing and complaint management
  • Preparing reports to support commercial decisions and production planning
  • Supporting month-end closing activities, including cash flow forecasts, margin calculations and coordination with the planning department
  • Creating purchase orders and communicating them clearly to suppliers
  • Checking invoices and ensuring correct administrative processing in internal systems
  • Executing basic reporting and quality-related administrative tasks

Profile

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree or have equivalent experience
  • Experience with SAP and/or logistics processes is a plus
  • You work in a structured and accurate manner and enjoy collaborating within a team
  • You have a strong analytical mindset and are comfortable working with data
  • You take initiative and work independently when needed
  • You have strong communication skills and a problem-solving attitude
  • You perform well in a dynamic and sometimes stressful environment
  • You have a good knowledge of Dutch and English; knowledge of German is a plus or willingness to learn
